...the long awaited update
My mom is a lot better, she just recently moved into a new adult family home which is much closer to my sisters house... she was in a nursing home for about a month while my sister found her a new adult family home - the last one seemed abusive, and she arrived at the hospital severely dehydrated and dirty (like dirt on her face kinda stuff)... seems a bit suspicious. Glad she is in this new one, they seem to care - and seem to be very genuine.
I've been back home now since the 26th of September - it was a surprise this time for my step-mom... and she was very surprised. I've been slightly stressed because of Andrew, he has been quite the handful and is pushing all the right buttons to piss me off. I sleep in the same bed as him, he's reversed, so his feet are closer to my head. Just not being able to get away from him - having him around 100% of the time, no breaks. It's really... really stressful. I think it surprised my family how difficult he is to take care of - he's no average child that's for sure. He definitely requires a lot more supervision, and unfortunately - he doesn't play on his own, which just sucks!
My dad and I went to The Smashing Pumpkins concert in Everett on the 10th of October. I got a few videos if anyone wants to see... I got XYU, Space Oddity (cover), Reprise and Tonight, Tonight and Bullet with Butterfly Wings. I wasn't in the mosh pit, but I enjoyed it in the stands with my dad... it was a good set none the less, and I really think my dad enjoyed the new Oceania album...
Last weekend was my dad's birthday - we all got kinda pissed, was very fun though. Felt good to "let loose" so to speak with my child driving me nuts. I named a star after him - it's just off of the Orion constellation - since that's a constellation that you can see from both hemispheres. I named it "Bygdsy" - which is my dad's nickname since high school, and even to this day. He seemed pretty psyched about it...
I suppose that's about it for now... I'll post up some photos when I have some time, I've quite enjoyed my stay - but I reckon it'd be a bit better if I wasn't Andrew wrangling the whole time. I'll definitely write again soon!
