This was absolutely stunning! Wow! I'm with you on the whole Gossip Girl thing. I only ever watched it as mindless entertainment as well and none of the show's pairings ever jumped out and grabbed me. I shipped Chuck/Blair, just because it seemed like it was the thing to do, but was never truly invested in it, but Dan/Blair? Wow, how they've taken over my brain?! Ha, took me four seasons, but I've found my GG OTP. LOL ( ... )

That's exactly how I feel! I'm like, Show, how could you make me care so much? You're Gossip Girl for crying out loud!

I was so afraid about 'snow'! Writing first kisses is soooo hard. I've got like a gazillion of 'firsts' Dair stuff in my head. I also have a gazillion plot bunnies in my head. I just to find a way to write them out just right :)

Gosh, and as for a favourite?! I really couldn't choose

I'm always so curious about these things. I want to know if people's favourites are the same as mine.

This is awesome. Great job! I really liked the ones that looked into Blair's eating disorder I think the show should do more of that. Also the inclusion in some of Nate and Serena was awesome. But yeah all brilliant.

Thank you :) I think the show sort of assumed that Blair's eating disorder is done and dealt with and I'm like, um, no. Eating disorders are definitely not that easy to overcome as they seemed to show on Gossip Girl. I had to address it.

I loved putting Nate and Serena as guest stars. The next fic I have in my head, Nate has a pretty big role in it :) I'm partial to Nate because I think he would be the most supportive of those two.

Great job! You really captured the up/down dynamic with Dan/Blair. I think the parts where you took Blair out of her element (the subway and the county fair) were my favorite parts. But this Blair has never felt as strong as she is when Dan is by (and on) her side. was my favorite line. Just the fact that Dan is ON her side makes all the difference.

And that last section just made me smile! I could picture the entire thing in my head. It's so quiet and intimate, but such a big moment for them both (and the fact that Dan just easily repeats the words back to her makes it perfect!)

The point of this fic was reading their evolution, but most of all was about "watching" moments. Dan and Blair are all about moments (walking together drinking coffee, talking about exhibits in Blair's room, Dan giving Blair lunch) and I want to see those on the show all. the. time.

Dair is epic without being epic.

The last one was a bit of a dig at Chuck/Blair lol. I also think it mirrors how easy Blair's relationship with Dan is compared to her relationship with Chuck. She said 'I love you' because she felt it and wanted to share it. I think she's really growing around Dan so even if they don't end up togehter on the show romantically, I want her around him because they just grow and evolve well together.

(And yay! about you loving the subway and fair! they were my faves as well :))

What a lovely way to put it! I agree--it's all about the moments with them. I want more of that on the show too!

Good point about how easy it is with Dan compared to Chuck. I love how she feels secure enough to tell Dan she loves him--that shows growth right there!
