(no subject)
So last night I planned to go home after work, pop in Season One Disk Three of Battlestar Gallactica that came in the mail yesterday via Netflix and maybe do a little knitting. But when I got home, the landlords were asking everyone to come in and have dinner with them. It was FANTASTIC. I really shouldn't have eaten it, but damn. Venison lasagna. *drool* It was heavenly. And they also had some lovely salad and Merlot, and everyone in the house was there. We ate in the backyard and it was a very pleasant way to pass a couple of hours.
But right after that, I had to run an errand so I decided to walk it, as it was about 12 blocks one way. It was a little off-putting that I was taking a brisk walk on a full stomach and after a couple of glasses of wine, but once I got going, it really felt good. :) It took me half an hour to get there and back, which was nice.
As I walked in, I turned on the tv and !!!!
Angela asked Hodgins to marry her!!! I was doing the happy dance. I love that show and I love them together. And I have a wee little crush on Hodgins. :D
The fire in Griffith Park is 75% contained, which is a relief, I'm sure, for everyone affected by it. Only one home was slightly damaged in the fire and no one has been injured, other than the homeless man that they think may have started the fire [he fell asleep with a cigarette and suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his chest]. We haven't had any smoke over in my part of town, which is a blessing.

russtycat ~ the landlords are absolutely fine about you spending the night on Saturday , so if you still want to, it's cool. In fact, they were so cool about it that they said you should sleep in the room next to mine, as the girl who rents it is out of town for the next 3 months [she's a student] and she said that if anyone had an overnight guest, it would be perfectly fine to have them sleep there. It's the biggest room in the house and has it's own balcony, so it's a sweet place to crash. I thought we might hang out in there to do our knitting and movie watching, since it's much bigger than my room and it's more comfortable. :) I'm excited! Can't wait to see you.
