Bay to Breakers

Major events (Halloween, marathons, parades) in SF means that people go naked. Today was my first time at one of these events and man, it was crazy. I am not really an obsessive compulsive person, but whenever I saw a naked guy sitting on a bench all I could think was, "Eew!! I'm not sitting there!!" So I don't really know if there is a charitable cause or what the meaning behind Bay to breakers is, but I do know that it is a marathon that may start at 8am, but keeps going all day.

After the whole event, we had sushi and had dessert at Citizen Cake (Rachel Ray ate there on her $40 a day show). Thai was so mean about how the waitress took this blurry pic of us. FYI, Thai is my ex. We dated for a month in junior high and we always joke about it. But you know, a month-long relationship in junior high is pretty long.

This is Hayes St and it was PACKED. This girl looked so pissed, she had her bookbag ready to go study and there she was, stuck watching a bunch of crazy people walking around.

Non-asians playing badminton! These people dragged a badminton net along the 12k trek and took frequent stops to play. For some reason, if you didn't have a costume, you just wear spandex and dress like you're going to the gym.

This was kind of offensive. There were lots of frat-lookin guys with Duke lacrosse t-shirts.

These people made a pretty impressive pirate ship to go along with their outfits. I guess it was the best way of transporting their keg of beer.

Some Transformer.

I found Waldo!!

These are not my people!

Awesome Trojan horse.

Gotta love the penguins.

I've had this fantasy of getting a whole sleeve of tattoos on one of my arms. This girl has that and she's on a pirate ship. I am envious.

Britney Spears and K-Fed were the winners of the costume contest.

This dog managed to sleep through it all.

The race ended at Golden Gate Park with a concert by one-hit wonder Better Than Ezra. It started sprinkling and me and Thai decided that Better Than Ezra wasn't worth staying in the rain for. We didn't even realize that they were playing their one-hit song "Good" until the song was almost over. Luckily I live near the park and we got out early, because the rain started pouring down pretty quickly (stupid SF). I was thinking about how screwed all the naked, drunk people were. But I guess they probably didn't feel a thing, after all that walking and alcohol.
