Revenge

A slash in a downward arc, and soon the darkness of the night was filled with lightning and the familiar sense of the power that Duncan would get from the Quickening. Katana raised above his head as if he alone was some sort of lightning rod, the surge of energy hit his blade and then flowed through him, filling him with a sense of pain. When it was over and he slumped to the ground on his knees, he looked over at the Immortal he'd killed after questioning.

A nobody, really, but he didn't have many leads. He hadn't returned home since he'd left after getting the news of Wes and Aidan's deaths. His face wasn't shaved, and he'd moved from bar to bar in the Boston city limits with a drink as his only source of nourishment. A few people that he'd threatened had led him to the kid - only about ten years since his first death - and Duncan had killed him.

It was highly unlike him.

He wasn't an innocent, that much was certain, but Duncan had removed himself from The Game awhile ago. It felt wrong to have killed him, but there was another part of him, the part that thought about the look on Aidan's face back when he'd been tortured and kidnapped, that reminded Duncan of his mistakes.

He never got the email from April telling him about the funeral service because his computer was destroyed, but at least his cellphone was still on his person. A select few had the phone number - Cassandra, Connor, Methos, Athos, Bella, Joe, Darius, Fitz, Amanda… and Aidan. Sighing at the last name, Duncan stood and pulled his trenchcoat tightly around himself, trying to shut out the cold that had already filled him.

He walked on.

OOC: If anyone would like to call Duncan and let him know of the services for the boys, please do so!

deaths, wes, aidan
