D-day

That was the worst interview I've ever been on. I'm ok, because I don't really want the job anyway. But I'm worried that that was my only chance at getting a job w/the county for the fall. It was terrible. They do not have an expanded resource program at this school, so they want to start one. I would be the one to start it. His first question was "If I told you tomorrow you could start an expanded resource program from scratch, what's the first thing you would do?" I felt like saying "Dude, I just graduated last weekend, I just want to teach, not go around creating miracles." Yes, it would be cool to start a program from scratch.....IN 10 YEARS. Not my first year. There's too many stressors your first year without the stress of creating a new program and having everyone breathing down your throat to see when you're gonna blow. I'm not that creative anyway - this would just be a nightmare. Oh, and they want to put 6 grades in one room (K-5th). Are they insane??? They don't have a room, or the kids, it's a complete mess. And I wanted to correct the principal so many times b/c he kept making stupid comments about children w/special needs - he really had no clue what he was talking about. But instead I just sat there w/my thumb up my butt like I didn't know jack. I suck at selling myself. He asked me to tell him why I'm qualified and I honestly couldn't think of anything. First of all, I'm not qualified for this position. But even if I was I wouldn't have been able to tell him why.
U of M just e-mailed my graduation proofs to me. Too bad they're Sahski's - some Indian girl who obviously looks nothing like me.
