That was the worst interview I've ever been on. I'm ok, because I don't really want the job anyway. But I'm worried that that was my only chance at getting a job w/the county for the fall. It was terrible. They do not have an expanded resource program at this school, so they want to start one. I would be the one to start it. His first ( Read more... )

you are the hottest Sahski I know...
I had an interview with a school once and they didn't let me even student teach there because I didn't sell myself well enough... I know how you feel to some extent. It takes practice and lots of planning. I'm lucky because I just don't like teaching so I don't have to sell myself on that end anymore.. just commercial art. You have to look at all of your positive traits and amplify them... then take your negatives and look at them as positives however you can. It's so stressful, I know ::HUG::

yeah, i guess i'm gonna have to practice bragging on myself in front of the mirror. gah, that is seriously so hard for me. i can't even stand to be in the same room when my mom is bragging on me. i guess if i want a job though, i better get busy.....

Make a list of all the things you do well, all the things you're good at, all the things you love about your job. Selling yourself is just a matter of embellishing all your positives and using the right lingo :)
