[When there is far too much on his mind (like now, like always), Mithos finds that it is somewhat helpful to go on long walks about the village. He tends to stick to the outskirts, where people are sparser. Better yet, he occasionally slips into the forest itself, where people are practically nonexistent. (Go ahead, prove him egregiously wrong ( Read more... )

[Action] So totally late, sorry! blackenedchaos February 11 2011, 14:54:34 UTC
[While walking in the village, Mithos might notice the feeling of being watched.

There happens to be a demon hanging around nearby on the roof of a building who is most definitely taking an interest in the young looking man. That description definitely seemed familiar. He had heard it in one of those many warnings that the idiot humans forget to lock away from current threats.

Yuber will keep watching for now, but it wouldn't be hard to find him, it's not like he's making any effort to remain unseen and there is very little he can do about the fact that it's obvious he's not human, even if he looks it from afar.]

[His head may be filled to the brim with thoughts, but Mithos is still quite aware of his surroundings thanks to a constant distrust of everyone. He pauses, unable to shake the feeling that someone has been watching him, and carefully looks around.

Oh, hello, figure standing on roof. Not suspicious at all. He'll send up a coldly superior glare. Because he has enough to deal with right now.]

If you're fond of your blood being inside of you, I suggest that you find someone else to spy on.

[That coldly superior glare will be returned to Mithos since it appears both of them have quite the ego about their abilities to kill.

But that answer says a decent amount, even if it is an annoying threat. Yuber will be decent enough to teleport down in front of Mithos for now.]

I'd say the same to you if you attack me. I'm not one of the worthless and pathetic humans of this place.

[He's largely bluffing; he just likes people to think he's as powerful as he once was.

Teleporting isn't anything new to him, but he wasn't expecting it from anyone here. Mithos is prepared to make use of his sword at the slightest hint of provocation. But...that is interesting.]

At least you aren't one the countless fools who insist that the humans here are worthy of being given a chance.

[Oh, bluffing is fine enough though. Yuber is far more used to threats than anything else and it isn't as if he won't be able to have his swords out in no time if attacked.]

They don't deserve one. They are weak and pathetic and such creatures are only worthy of the chance for a quick end to their lives.

[He remains tensed for instant battle, but wonders why he hasn't met such a person yet. Doesn't mean he'll trust him or like him or anything of the sort, but it is a welcome reprieve from the constant stream of in-defense-of-humanity.]

You neglected to mention "arrogant" and "foolish."

[Yuber isn't much more trusting, but he always finds it refreshing to not be lectured on how wrong it is to kill humans.] You would be right about arrogant. They say they will kill me all the time yet I still stand here quite sound. Can't say the same about many of them.

I take it you dislike them too.

They assume that they know so much about the world, without realizing how little they truly understand.

[A scoff.] "Dislike" is far too weak a word. I hate humans; they disgust me.

And also the fact that they make up stupid rules for themselves that make them even weaker. It's absolutely pathetic and then they have the nerve to lecture me that killing is wrong when I kill them for being so weak.

Always good to meet another human hater.

Humans are overly fond of lecturing when they know absolutely nothing.

.....Are there others in this world? [Maybe...not everyone here is an enemy.]

A few others, but our numbers definitely don't compare to that of the humans.

Is that not how it always is? Humans and their foolishness over-run any world they inhabit.

...I know of one more.

[He thinks for a moment to get an idea of the ones who for sure hate humans. Nu, Knives, Legato, Robo-Ky, Ratatosk, Moro all come to mind right off even if the last two aren't all that friendly towards him. Then there's a few who act more human, but don't object to killing humans like Grell and Blackbeard. He's not too sure what to make of Kaori yet and would need to speak with her more. Two more potentially questionable ones besides that. A shame, the numbers used to be far higher.]

I can think of about ten not including myself that either hate humans or don't object to their deaths. Two absolutely hate me, however.

[The information that not everyone here is explicitly against him is welcome, but...he isn't sure what to do with that. The idea of having allies is one he wants to automatically reject. Having allies opens up the chance of betrayal. And...just what does he want to do here? Another question he must ask himself, though he loathes every syllable of it: What can he accomplish?

It's like being in a state of purgatory.

Still...this could definitely be useful.]

And you would be?

[Try being here for over a year, it grows so tedious.]

Yuber. And what about yourself? [Though he already has an idea who Mithos is thanks to Raine's warning that was stupidly not filtered from him. But a confirmation is always good.]

I am Yggdrasill. [No first name for you. He hates you considerably less than he does the general populace, but that means nothing in the way of trust.]
