I wanna run through the halls of my high school, I wanna scream at the top of my lungs!

This will be a quick one, I promise. I'm behind on meeting my NaNo goal; I'm aiming for 75K, and so I need to write 2500 words per day to stay on track till November 30. I was not as far ahead as I should have been to be able to take the day off. Whoops.

Anyhoodle, one of Alex's ROTC buddies has posed an interesting challenge to him: do not eat meat or fish for an entire month, and if the challenge is met, $50 will be the reward. (In other words, BE ME FOR A MONTH AND GET PAID.) I suggested he come live with me for the month and eat like me. The excellent part is that he's also giving up soda again, so it's going to be an eventful month. I gave him some suggestions for food, but he hates pasta, so that rules out some really excellent options like fettucine alfredo or spaghetti or cheesy lasagna or other fabulous Italian things.

I talked to Beth tonight about becoming a hostess as well as a busser. She had completely forgotten that I was hired to be both, and so she said she could start training me to be a hostess and therefore allow me to pick up more shifts. (YAY, MONEY!) I accepted, so we'll see how this goes. Plus, I have to pass the menu test to be a hostess, and the waitstaff also have to pass that test. If I was ever given the opportunity to become one of THEM, I'd be set to go after training. This is verrah good news since I am your average poor college student. :D

John Mayer is coming to town in March. OH MY GOD. Mom nearly had an aneurysm when I told her. I'm going to save as much as I can until tickets go on sale to help pay for it. We reeeeeally want to go, and besides Dave Matthews Band and a lot of country acts, there aren't too many artists who perform more than once here.

Speaking of which, Jimmy Buffett comes to town next week. He plays here Tuesday night. I can work Tuesday nights, but the schedule has not yet been posted. I'm unsure of whether or not I want to work. The place will be packed and tipshare will be excellent, but at the same time, the place will be packed and I'll be busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. Ah well, we'll see when the time comes.

The weather here was GORGEOUS today. The thermometer in my car said it was 75 F when I first got in. That's almost unheard of for November here.

I get to dye Alex's mom's hair tomorrow. I'm excited. I've never dyed anyone else's hair before, but she's a monthly dyer and so I'm sure she'll be able to help me should I get confused.

Anyway, BACK TO NOVELING. :D
