Each morning, I'm fooled into thinking that I'm okay. I wake up and feel loads better than I did the night before, but then once I'm awake for a while I start to cough or ache or get a headache or feel really tired. So annoying.
Apparently Brittany, the only other female busser, is quitting my place of work. WHAT. Ah well, maybe she'll come in to visit occasionally or something. I just hope the next person they hire is dependable, nice, and in possession of a phone that works. It's really irritating to have four (soon to be three) other people who work the same job as you and for two of them to neither speak English nor have a phone number listed with the restaurant. Ugh.
Anyway, Mom got into a lovely confrontation with Apple the company this morning. She was having iPod or iTunes or Safari trouble (which is probably linked to the fact that she has TOO MUCH SHIT ON HER PC) and when she was on the phone with them they couldn't help her, so she was shouting and complaining that they were wasting her time and whatnot. Then I guess she called Anne and wanted to use her computer to fix whatever was going on, but Anne called our house and said under NO circumstances was Mom to go anywhere near her house until she had recovered from swine flu. Once Anne found out I was sick as well, she extended the anti-invitation to me. She doesn't have to worry; I'm not going anywhere until I'm better as long as I can help it.
In other news, NoVa Alex randomly messaged me the other night to tell me he saw Laura in a musical in Richmond. (He didn't; it was just someone who really looked like her.) He also encourages me to come visit VCU. Sure, considering I have so much free time and great health right now. >:( Ah well, at least he's still friendly.
I can't wait to get out of this house, though. Oh my GOD. I've been out of the house every single day for several MONTHS and now, I'm going crazy! I haven't started watching movies yet but I have put quite a dent into the 1000-page novel I'm reading. I'm more than halfway through! Whoopee!
Alex was going to surprise me this morning with Spudnuts (which are DELICIOUS donuts made from potatoes for those of you who don't know), but decided against it both because it was 7 AM and because he doesn't want to catch swine flu. I appreciate the thought, though. I knew there was a reason I didn't mind being practically married to him. :)
The downside is that I may have been in the incubation period on Friday when I went to his house and we think his mom might be coming down with it. Last I knew she had a dry cough and was feeling tired but that doesn't necessarily mean she's got it. *knocks on wood*
Ah well, I suppose I ought to go make soup and sit on my ass for another day. Here's to getting better!
