Trip Highlights and the 2093850985th Car Rant of the Century

Happy birthday to Laura!

I would be out with Laura, Anthony, and Patty playing Putt Putt but alas, I am not home yet. I should be back in my house later this evening.

Saturday worked out well. Cassie picked me up, and we hung around with Megan for a while. Afterwards, I had dinner with Anne and Jesse while watching Star Wars and finished off the night playing Guitar Hero.

Yesterday, Anne, Jesse, and I walked through the park and onward to Dad's house. Karyl came home from her dad's a day early, and so we all went to Red Lobster together. We went back to Dad's and watched Across the Universe.

I don't think anyone else sees it, but the main character reminds me of J. It creeps me out, and for that reason, I'm weary of watching the movie or listening to the soundtrack now. It's a pity, too, because I adore both.

We drove back to Anne's apartment and I fell asleep after some very confusing IMs with Mindy. I figured I was just tired and my phone was being a douche, so I didn't worry about it.

Today, I got the red storm and have been warding off cramps with ibuprofen and copious amounts of green tea. So far, it's working; however, the tea's making me pee like a mofo.

Anne's supposed to come home around 5:30 and I'll be heading home sometime after that. I have that girnomous Spanish presentation of doom to prepare as well as some sort of neglected homework that must be completed before the year's end.

This is not directed at anyone reading this journal, but can I just mention that I'm sick of people waving the fact that they have cars in my face? I've had my license for almost six months now, and I'm still carless. My mom HATES the thought of me having a car and won't even discuss the possibility of finding one for me, but the rest of my immediate family and beyond seems to be blessed with one, maybe two cars at their disposal. I also can't get a job and save up for my own because I live ten miles outside of the limits of civilization, meaning that I would need a car to get to said job.

Yeah, sure, summer's coming up and Mom and I will be off school, but she's still taking classes and possibly teaching summer school. Blargh.

And yeah, Anne meant to give my car back months ago, but she has 20938509235285 other things she has to take care of that I won't get into and I understand that completely. Besides, she's my twenty-year-old sister; it's not her responsibility to provide me with a vehicle.

Bleh.

Away, away I go.
