An evening of DESPAIR!
Love and romance are, by their very natures, the very heart of despair and hopelessness! For every one person who gets a date out of love, ten people get a date out of pity! And, for every one person who gets a date out of pity, ten people get no date at all! One person finds true happiness, and a hundred people suffer!
To combat this spread of wanton depression... I am prohibiting any attendance of the Ball! The more people attend, the more suffering and despair there will be! Something must be done!
I, naturally, will not be attending. I have to go scouting the village for good suicide spots other business to attend to.
