Okay, so last night/this morning, I was talking to Andrew. He told me he was writing me a song *smiles*. I told him that I was no good at writing song lyrics so I would just stick to poetry (yea i know theyre basically the same thing, but you still have to think differently when youre writing songs than you do when youre just writing poetry...poetry doesnt have to be able to be put to music) So anyway, he convinced me to try, but I told him I had to finish a piece of poetry I was working on. His request for me to write a song gave me the inspiration for this poem...

I can't write you a song
so instead I wrote this
I can't give you the world
so I'll just give you a kiss.

I'm nowhere near perfect
and I won't try to be
but I'll do anything
to see you happy

I'm not the best
everyone knows this is true
but there's no one else
who could love you as much as I do

I may not be rich
or have the nicest things
but as long as I have you
