So to explain the title... gumbo is a soup with a little bit of
everything, and this is what my journal today is! Aren't you lucky...
So I got my camp confirmation in the mail the other day. I got
really excited. Oh yea if any SC T3 people are reading this, comment
back...are YOU going back? Cuz its gonna rock!!!!!!!! Camp makes me
happy like only camp can. Anyway, definitely getting really bad at
school. Something about the coldness and raininess that midland
never gets makes me forget about oh, I dunno, maybe that failing every
test isnt a good idea? yea that. But hopefully this unlucky
streak will end with a hopefully good grade from the AP Government test
that I so desperately need to do GREAT on. But honestly, I
shouldnt suck at chemistry, government, and algebra all at the same
time. Mrs Rulla is one of the best algebra teachers tho, as weird as
she is. So I definitely think I failed algebra last six weeks. Well not
failed, but definitely not the 83 on my report card. I like her
philosophy of "I like to give my students wiggle room"
Sooner or later we'll be looking back on everything
And we'll laugh about it like we knew what all was happening
And someday you might listen to what people have to say
But now you learn the hard way
So I've been thinking.... why is everything so hard? Honestly.
Why does it have to be so hard to tell someone what you think? What if
you never got a chance to tell them something again. Why does
everyone have to hide everything. To "protect themselves?" And I hate
how I follow this trend. I hate how my chapel talk was preaching on
living life with no regrets. I love how I can't live up to my own
chapel talk. And I can't just stop worrying either. I'm not too good
with going against the flow. But just incase I never get the chance to
tell all of you how much I love you....just know that I do. Everyone
that I've met has changed me in some way and I'm glad.
Okay so I think its time for the funny part of the gumbo
Let's see......
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS PROBABLY ONLY FUNNY TO ME AND SOME SELECT FEW
So today in tennis we definitely lifted weights to Ashlee Simpson....great workout music
Mrs Hightower the other day: "Let's see... how do I explain bipartisan?
Well it means you like both parties. It's kind of like bisexual.
You like both sexes" (keep in mind that mrs hightower is an old and
very proper lady who only occasionally has outbursts like this)
Mrs Hightower and Paige the other day:
Paige: I like your jacket...it's kind of ching-chong
Mrs. Hightower: Yea!!!! Ching-Chong!!!!!!
So in french we watched A Little Princess with french subtitles.... not
sure why...but it was the one with shirley temple. So every time
she would dance on the screen, for some reason mr catania would go
"stupid drug addict" (keep in mind that mr catania is a middle aged
dirty frenchman (not being biast to french, this is what he calls
himself) with a very strong accent) and then, he laughs in all
the sad parts. then he crys in the happy parts. crazy french.....
well I hope you enjoyed my gumbo!
have a good day, a good night, and a lil something for you SC T3 peeps:
HAPPY SIDE PONYTAIL TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
