Okay, this is what I've decided to do... I'm going to join the "walkers" group for the marathon training. I really don't want to give up the training with a group. I'm trying to make a Forever, Lifestyle change here, and I believe that working out with a group is a key part of that. Also, for someone who spends so so SO much time alone, I need the chance to be around people.

The marathon training meets every Saturday morning. Basically, each week we go for a longer run (or walk). 3 miles. 4 miles, etc. until we can manage the 26 miles of a marathon. It's a 27 week program.

The other 3 days we are supposed to run (or walk) for time (rather than distance). On these 3 days, I'll be doing the Couch to 5K training. Its an 8 week (or 10) program that gets you to be able to run 3 miles in a couple months. Once I can do that, I'll just... keep training to run further.

(And I'm going to ask one of my coaches this Saturday what they think of my plan.)

Eh, somehow it will all even out in the end. I don't care that much about the marathon, though I am crazy excited about the half marathon in June. Of course, I AM doing this for fitness too. But, I'm not dieting or watching what I eat at ALL. Granted, I eat pretty good as it is. I figure one thing at a time. I have a feeling that eventually, I'll actually care about what I'm eating.
