First day of training and oh my god, I think I broke myself. Two days ago, I ran a total of 6 minutes, and walked 30, thinking that was grand (split up into intervals). Today, I RAN 45 minutes. 3 miles. Okay, I walked at least 3/4 of a mile of it. But that's, what, a 500% increase? I had planned on joining the walkers group, but my friend said we should at least see where we timed at. Within two blocks, all I could think of was, "what the hell are we DOING??" Two miles, later and long passed up by most of the group, I thought, well, as long as I'm not the last one. I turned around and sure fucking enough, I was the VERY LAST ONE. There were two girls a tiny bit ahead of me, and by some magic, I passed them up, so I actually came in 3rd from last, but dude. it felt like my toes were broken, my feet were on fire, I was an ALARMING shade of red, and I was SURE the coaches were going to say, "Great job, we think you should consider the walkers group." But no. No, they handed me my "red" shoe tag (the walkers are purple) and said, congratulations.

Clearly someone here is completely insane.

And next week, we are supposed to go 4 miles. A whole mile increase!!!! I'm freaked-the-fuck-out.
