And now for something completely different - A Canterlot Wedding Review

This episode was adorable and epic and all those good things. It certainly lived up to the hype that The Hub drummed up for it. There are a few things, good and bad that need mentioning, mostly good.

The one thing I think that could have been done better was the fact that until these episodes, we haven't even heard that Twilight had a brother. It would have been nice to see him in at least another episode before we saw him in this one. That being said, I thought he was great and I love his voice! It's really a pity that ponies aren't that big in Australia, I think I would like Shining Armor/Princess Cadence toys.

Cadence (Pronounced Kay-dence) used to be little Twlight's foal-sitter, aw. (Though you do have to wonder if she's a princess, what she is doing foal-sitting.) Also she is Celestia's niece, if so then who is her mother? Is it Luna? Do they have other family members they haven't mentioned?!

Soo the big thing in this episode was that Cadence for the first part was an impostor! (I kind of saw that coming but still.) and she was being horrible but everyone put it down to her being a bridezilla. Twilight knew though, yay Twi!

After some stuff happened and Twilight ruined the rehearsal, evil!cadence locked her in the dungeon where she found real!Cadence who was so much prettier and together they went to stop the wedding.

Now this bad impostor!Cadence was named Queen Chrysalis, leader of the Changeling ponies and damn her character design. Basically she was a black/darkish green pony with green eyes and whopping great holes in her, actually she looked a little scary. When she went up against Celestia and won I was like 'Daaaamn boy.' because I didn't really think they would do that.

So the mane six ran off to get their elements of harmony so they could stop the Changelings from taking over Canterlot and then an epic battle ensued which was in a word, epic. Even then though the mane six lost and were brought back to the castle.

In the end, Cadence managed to break the spell that was on Shining Amour and the power of love set everyone free, yaay! I know the power of love thing is cliché but it was also really cute, so I'm okay with it.

Other things from the episode:

+ Princess Luna doing the night watch and arriving at the reception asking if she had missed anything. (Can she only venture down to Equestria at night time? It seems to be the only time we see her.)
+ Lyra spoke! And she was a bridesmaid!
+Spike and Pinkie playing kissyface with the cake toppers was adorable.
+ The songs were fantastic!
+ Doctor Whooves running from the Changeling.
+ People say they saw Derpy, but I didn't see her D:
+ Vinyl Scratch/DJ Pon 3 was there!

Season 3 has I think be confirmed but who knows when that will be. :| I liked this season and I love that I will actually be able to buy it on DVD in Australia in a couple of months so yay.

review, my little pony
