I need some encouragement. I know this is the wrong place to go, because I only have a couple of friends who read it, but I don't have anywhere else to go where work people won't see it

The job sounds a bit sucky, but you have a good boss, and good bosses are hard to come by. - Is there a different job within the company you could transfer to? - Any chance of shifting some of the work to a co-worker?
On the bright side, if you decide to talk to your boss, all you need to do is tweak this.
The job itself doesn't suck. I enjoy it more than any job I've ever had. It has a lot of perks that are right up my alley, and usually isn't as big a deal.
But it is physically demanding and I feel like I'm to the point to where I've given more than I have, if you know what I mean.
I've been talking with my boss about it, and he is trying to shift some workload around to take some machines off me. He's afraid if he does too much then later, when we aren't as slammed, I will no longer qualify for full-time status. At this point, I don't really care. But he does have a point.
Sounds like you need to sit down with your boss and tell him exactly what you just told us. He can't fix what he doesn't know is broken. Even if he can only fix part of it, it might make all the difference.
*big hugs* Have you thought of emailing your boss and telling him the difficulties you're having? It might help to do it that way - I know that I come across way more eloquently and clearly in emails than I do when I actually speak.
Even though I end up crying in person when my emotions are involved, I am much more eloquent and can get my point across much better face to face. My emails tend to be more detached, so the intent reads more hostile than I intend. Often what I mean to be sharing information comes across as complaining or griping, and what I mean as a cry for help comes across as negativity.
As someone who's actually been to work with you, I get where you're coming from. The full-time status thing is a point though. I'm with everyone else, let him know everything, and if he can then take all the machines from you he can then that might just do enough to get you through this busy period.
I wish I had enough money/time off to come help! *HUUUUUUUUUGS*

I'll consider talking with him some more, tho. I don't want to push too hard. I'm one of many who are feeling overwhelmed right now.
