I saw Star Trek on Friday night and absolutely loved it. So much that I think me flailing about it might be pointless by now but YAY, it fucking rocked. I also loved that Leonard Nimoy has a significant part instead of a small cameo. That was cool of them to bring him into the storyline. Of course, in my head I'm ignoring canon and imagining him going off with Classic!Kirk at the end. Heh. It was a great weekend as not only did I get to see the movie with my friends (and the Kirk to my Spock, regala_electra), I also got to see sadcypress the next day. Fun times were had!
Because I am lame and construct posts in my head rather than actually, you know, POSTING, I forgot to mention that I've watched the first four Star Trek films in preparation for the new one. I'd only seen IV - The Voyage Home, so now it makes sense in my head. (It has whaaales. Oooh.) Wrath of Khan = fucking awesome, as expected. It explains so many GIFs now.
Seriously considering doing an icon overhaul and adding ten gazillion Spock icons. I... think I have a new crush. Possibly getting the first season of the original series to satisfy my need urge. Whatever. He's neat.
