- THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME.
- I don't know why, but I was SO EXCITED for this episode rather than dreading it -- like I knew Really Bad Shit was going down (oh, spoilery promo!) but... that last scene? That whole 'oh! oh shit, they're doing that!' rush of the excitement slipped into me standing up going, "SAM. SAM. WHAT. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" And then I thought OH SAM MUST BE EVIL but! I DON'T KNOW. ARGH. FUCKING. DAMNIT.
- My favorite parts were the hallucinations. Wee!Sam! Mary! Dean! Cool to see the different sides of Sam: the desire for a normal life in his youth, the practicality and hunter bloodline of his mother, and then the fears he has of disappointing Dean. Yeah, I suck at meta but. AAAHHH. Though all of it's skewed in a way -- Wee!Sammy with yellow eyes, Mary calling Dean weak, Dean saying Sam's a monster. And lo, we GET Dean saying that at the end, but not with the strong conviction of Sam's nightmares. His tone was defeated.
- Bobby! HI BOBBY, I MISSED YOU! And I missed Ruby too. I think I like her more now, and I want to see where they're going with her -- is she on their side? ...will Sam wear leather pants at some point and try to awaken a statue?
- Oh, SAM. I feel the need to say that after this. Aaaaaahhh. SAM. SAMMY. WHY.
- Finale! Please explain why Castiel opened the vault/bunker/thing. Bzuh?
- So since Sam finally punched Dean (after Dean told him to in "Bloodlust"), is Bobby the Slap Bet Punch Commissioner in this situation?
- Ahahaha, baby eating. o_O What? Oh, Kripke, we love you too.
- Dean repeating John's line to Sam = broke my heart. Although, dude, WTF is with Sam choking him? Something is definitely not right.
- That said, I'm still excited to see Sam vs. Dean. It's painful, yeah, but there's still so much more to go. And resolving it? THAT, I want to see. I will take Powers!Sam and/or leather pants in the meantime.
