assorted thingy things

Today is my last chance to sign up for Yuletide. Hm. Well, I may kick myself later, but... I don't really have any requests. Is that weird? I would love to write some of those fandoms and making someone else happy while doing so would be a definite bonus, but I can't think of small fandom stories that I'd like to read. And it's not like I never wonder "Where are all the ___ stories?" after watching/reading something. I just don't remember any such musings now--nor have I for the last few weeks as Yuletide madness has swept through my friends.

REAPER! EEE. I love this show so much! Sock continues to be a horrible, by which I mean awesome, friend. He reminds me of Biff, Jesus's childhood friend (If you miss the reference, you really ought to read Lamb by Christopher Moore). And there's escaped souls and a Faustian deal and plot and stuff. But I'm watching for Sock.

Pushing Daisies is still adorable. Bionic Woman is still... a good reason to read while 'watching' tv. I just look up when Katee Sackhoff is on screen and am perfectly content with how I've spent the hour. (Currently, the book of choice is Saving the World by Julia Alvarez. Much better than The Bionic Woman.) Life is still making me so happy, though! I ♥ Charlie! CUPCAKES, INDEED. An admission: I'm worried about it having a second season. The characters are great, the episodic police procedural stories are fun, but the arcing story line... well, it'll either be solved at the end of the season, possibly leaving the series floundering for its legs, or it will not be solved and drag on far past the point that anyone even cares about who set Charlie up. It's way too early to be worrying about that, isn't it.
