ETA: Okay, so I'm living at home while I do my "To grad school or not to grad school" thing. It's mostly okay.
My mom does not 'get' computers. Fine, okay, whatever. But she equally doesn't understand why I am on mine so often. She especially doesn't understand why I do these chat things, and she drives me nuts over them, because she believes I am wasting my time.
What kills me? If I spent the whole day planted on the couch watching S&A by myself, she wouldn't say a word. A full day of watching tv is FINE. Not deserving of comment! But since I'm watching on the computer -- and, incidentally, interacting with people! -- she's continuously nudging me to DO something. I think she was pissed when I answered her "Are you done now?" with "Yes, with Season One." ARGH.
