So, I went by one of the super bitchy yarn stores (the ones that a] watch you the whole time you're in there, lest you dirty up or steal the yarn or b] ignore you because your money isn't old or fancy enough) and found out that it'd been purchased by a much more friendly lady. After I bought my yarn, she added that the stack of magazines outside were free. Most of them were filled with truly dreadful 80's and early 90's knitting patterns (I'll let your imagination work there, they were beyond description) but there was also a stack of 60's magazines, including an very awesome copy of vogue knitting from 1962 ($0.60!!!) It's great, filled with Jackie O style shifts and little twinsets, and all the models are clutching cigarettes in their WASPy little fingers.
Also, I saw Enchanted, and I must make the blue curtains dress. Must. I've hunted down every picture of it on the internet, and can see how it's made... now all I need is some sort of blue fabric so I can embroider on multiple little pink mickey heads (I hate you disney).
