Bourges; come back to me!
I've always longed to travel and I've been lucky enough to have the oppurtunity to do so on several occasions. However, it's been far too long since my amazing summer trip to France when I was 10. Yeah, that's eight years ago but it was amazing and I remember almost all of it -- regardless of the many awesome pictures I have to remember it by.
Anyway, today was a great day and supporting my good mood (as far as Mondays go) I was listening to Jacques Brel. Now, this is an artist that my mum used to play when my sister and I were very young. Every time she'd put a tape of his on in the car, we'd moan in agony and cover our ears. My mom, being somewhat "eccentric" sometimes, would sing along in a grand fashion and, needless to say, we hated it. Now, after years of his voice and crazy French cinematic music being implemented into my brain, I've finally begun to see what he's all about. I can hardly string together half the things he says but it's all fairly dark and weird and, quite simply, I love it.
Don't be alarmed if you see me singing along [very badly] to this stuff in a very loud and obnoxious manner in the halls for the next week or so.
