what do you do when you know you are settling?
when you know you can do better?

i look at you and i see someone who loves me
and i truly love you
but i know i'm settling
you're only meet a few of my criteria
you're not outgoing
you're not athletic nor musically gifted
everyone loves you because you're crazy
you make me laugh sometimes
but most of the time it's dry humor
you're not mature
you complain a lot
you're clingy
but you've shown me more compassion than anyone has ever given

everytime i go out
i see a cute boy who turns away when i say 'boyfriend'
and i can't help wonder what things would be like

i've changed so much since dance became a priority
i'm being more of a girl i guess

i want to have fun
i want to stop feeling out of place
i want true happiness
not this hollow happy

you are so good to me
but i know i'm settling
and it's killing me
