The weekend in bullet-point format:

Friday:

* It rained. *dances with joy*

* Ate dinner with co-workers at an Italian restaurant. Have discovered that bellinis are too sweet for my tastes. Probably the peach nectar.

* Hosted a Twilight-by-way-of-Rifftrax movie viewing at my apartment. Mike and the guys made something that would have been otherwise painful to watch incredibly amusing. I give the un-riffed movie one sparkly vampire out of five.

* Acquired a full bottle of tequila from Mexico. The good kind that's so smooth that you don't even realize you've had too much until you're on the floor. Many thanks, co-worker cleaning out his bar and gifting it to other people. I am now stocked up for the company Christmas party.

Saturday:

*It rained again. *dances some more*

* Woke up late, which hasn't happened in the last month or so. Forgot how nice it was to sleep in.

* Spent the day doing laundry at parent's house. Fell asleep on the couch while making fun of bad b-movies on the Scy-fy (is that how they're spelling it now?) channel.

* Had the dream about being locked in a hospital during a zombie infestation, except seeing that I hadn't had it in a while, I had forgotten that it was a dream, thus I could not actively change anything. You know, like keeping the hot cop who was flirting with me the entire time our lives were in danger from getting his head blown off by the dumbshits with the guns that couldn't tell zombies apart from real people.

* Woke up from nap, disgusted that the hot cop had died (and gotten his brains splattered all over the place) and started up a skeleton of a story outline that may or may not become NaNoWriMo '09. Just an FYI, if this does become my NaNo novel, the hot cop and heroine will NOT be getting shot by dumbshits with guns that can't tell zombies apart from real people. The people with the guns will have been eaten by zombies early on, thus removing them from the equation.

* Started a re-read of Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer's Agnes and the Hitman. I have forgotten just how much I ♥ Shane and Agnes in this one.

Sunday:

* Woke up to the sound of rain at 3:00 in the morning. *dances half-asleep* It also looks promising for more rain today, which we really, really still need.

* 7:00 morning breakfast consisted of a pastrami and Swiss sandwich on butter bread (I don't get it. It tasted nothing like butter, but then again, potato bread doesn't taste like potatoes either.) with Ruffles chips and a chewy chocolate chip cookie. It was downed with a cold Dr. Pepper. I don't get it either. I have things for a normal breakfast in my fridge too.

* Finished reading Agnes. All the names for Generation Five of my Novel Legacy will now be based on that book.

* Speaking of the Novels, will be working on them this afternoon. I'm about finished with the toddler phase for Generation Four, so it's almost ready for posting. Trying to keep to a once a week posting so that I can finish up sometime this year, but we'll see.

the daily grind, issa!sim regularly burns down kitchens, rain, movies, books
