Another day, another lot. :)

Yup, made another lot and decided to share it.

Many more pics, including floor plans, can be seen at my Tumblr, or will be a few minutes after I post this here. Mostly because it's hella easier to upload and post pics on Tumblr.

So I tried to make a "modern" lot because in my new neighborhood one of the "Gearhead" social townies is becoming a playable. I thought a "modern-looking" house would suit him. Specifically, I wanted to incorporate that EAxis corrugated metal wall, and I got it into my head that I wanted the exterior of the house to be monochrome, all in shades of gray, which it sort of but not really is. (The horizontal siding is too brown to be a true gray.) Buuuuuuut, modern is really not my forte because I don't really like its blockiness. So, as usual when I attempt "modern," it ended up more Prairie-ish in style (which I love) but with a lot of glass. So let's call it a "modern mash-up," shall we? Still, I like it and, now that I've moved said ex-townie into a more-CC-laden copy of the lot, I really like how it plays, too. So, I share.

It's a small lot, only 2x3, because that's what I like. If you're into big yards and outdoor stuff like pools or play equipment for kiddos, I suggest you Lot Adjust it to 3x3 or 2x4. Then you'll have plenty of room for that stuff. As it is, you get quite a lot packed into a small space. Three fairly large bedrooms, 2.5 baths, one of which is a roomy master en-suite with separate shower room, and good-sized living areas, including extra space upstairs for maybe a play area or a family room or hobby space or whatever. There is a small covered front porch plus a rear/side deck meant for grilling...or whatever, if your Sims aren't into grilling. There are also two upstairs decks/balconies, situated so that all the bedrooms have access to one, plus the rear one can be accessed from outside. (The front one is "private" and can only be accessed from the master bedroom.) There's a driveway with parking for one car, but no garage. Except for bathroom fixtures, kitchen counters/appliances, and light fixtures, most of which is boring unrecolored Eaxis stuff, it is packaged unfurnished. (Although I furnished the living areas a bit to take a couple of the pics over on my Tumblr, that's just to show the spaces with furniture in them.)

Some caveats:
  • I forgot to put a phone in before I packaged the lot, so you'll need to add one.
  • I never give my Sims fire or burglar alarms, so if you want those, you'll have to add them, too.
  • I meant to take out the CC closets before I packaged the lot but...didn't. So they're in there. Although they're old and need better textures (Which I've been meaning to do, buuuuut....), I like them better than the EAxis ones. But if you don't want 'em, use Clean Installer and don't install them.
  • This was built with all EPs/SPs installed because I still haven't put AGS on this machine. I think the only things I used from a stuff pack are the interior doors, which are from Glamour Life, and the refrigerator, which is from K&B. If you don't have those packs, I THINK you can still use the lot; you'll just need to place different interior doors and a different fridge. You'll likely need all EPs, though. Sorry 'bout that! :(

All of the CC except two master meshes not used on the lot and a recolor of that Glamour Life door are packaged with the lot, mostly because I was VERY disorganized when I went on my manic spree of downloading TS3 conversions, just dumping everything into one folder and not renaming stuff as I went. So, I'll be damned if I can find the fireplace file in that unholy mess. *laugh* So I just said "Screw it" and let the Clean Installer package everything. Everything's included, but the two master meshes and the door recolor that are in the zip but not in the package need to be copied to your Downloads folder manually or else the rocks by the mailbox and some of the shrubs will flash blue and the interior doors won't be black like they should be. Here's the list:

By HugeLunatic:
Glimpse of Freedom Arches
Werknothorn Single Door
Backless Tub Shower
Porch Lights

By Buggybooz:
Giggly Grass
Mumbo Jumbo Grass

Uprite Column Extras by Sophie-David
Murally Responsible Fireplace - TS3 Conversion by Delonariel
Luxurious Ingression Door on 2 tiles by Leefish
Metro Windows (I used the master mesh on the lot, so you should have everything you need for those, if you don't already have that window set.) by Tiggy
Closet by Marmy
Modern Pediment fence by Ailias
Garden Irises by Macarossi
Scrub Shrub (and its master tree file) by Gwenke

Stuff made by me: 3 floors, 1 wall, 1 concrete stair recolor, Balustrade Minimaal fence in white, black recolor of Luxurious Ingression door.

Price of the lot as-is: $47,384

Recommended additional downloads:
Phaenoh's white roof trim default replacement
Mootilda's floor shader with the white stucco option from this pack selected.

Without those, the house will look like this:

Also, you need an invisible driveway recolor, unless you happen to like the ugly EAxis concrete driveway. I didn't include one because I figure that most people have one by now.

And finally: DOWNLOAD HERE!

And I think that's it. If I've forgotten something, I'll edit later. :)

downloads, lots
