I just remembered why I hate sharing lots!

I hate it because I'm utterly incapable of building anything without CC. So, when I decide to share something, it takes a small eternity to track down all the CC. But I was determined, so:

EDITY-EDIT: Forgot to mention, because I was mostly asleep when I posted this, but I have all EPs/SPs. I only used a wall from K&B, so if you don't have that or any other SP you'll have a missing wall in the bathrooms, but you'll be otherwise OK. You will likely need all EPs, though, or else crashy-crashy. Sorry 'bout that! I do need to get AGS installed on this machine so I can make lots needing fewer EPs, but I keep forgetting to put it on this machine here...

OK, NOW for the cut:

So today I intended to work on a tutorial for MTS and maybe do some recoloring. But what I actually did was...build a house? Yeah, I don't get it, either. But whatever, this is meant for a family in my new age-modded neighborhood that decided to have four babies very close together. (And they're not even Family Sims!) The house I initially gave them didn't have nearly enough space for that many cribs at once, so they needed a new one. I wasn't feeling particularly inspired to design something, so I just went to a house plan site online and kinda liked this one, mostly because I liked the "low brick wall with flowers in front" idea, even though I didn't end up trying to figure out how to build something like that in the game but just did a lame approximation instead.

So this is what I came up with. A few more pics:

The floor plan:

The living area:

The kitchen:

Its features:
  • Extremely simple design, just a rectangle, but quite a bit of "curb appeal" from the front.
  • All red, white, and blue(ish) with lots of roses, hence the name.
  • Lots of white picket fence, too.
  • 2x3 lot.
  • Three decent-sized bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, adequate living/kitchen/dining space. So, enough room for 6, at least, if you double kids up in the secondary bedrooms.
  • Dedicated spaces for a closet or dresser in each bedroom, plus one in the little foyer.
  • Covered front porch, open rear grilling porch.
  • No driveway and no place to put one unless you expand the lot.
  • Unfurnished except for lights and, to keep the CC down, boring and un-recolored Maxis bathroom fixtures and kitchen counters/appliances, so the above room pics aren't that exciting. :)
  • Given its exterior colors, it would be a good house to do up in a kitchy Americana/country theme, if you're so inclined.

Price as-is is $29,775.

Note: ALL of the CC is in a separate folder that's zipped alongside the lot package, so if you want it/don't already have any of it, you'll need to copy the contents to your Downloads folder.. Here's the list:
  • Large and medium rosebushes in front - Originally from Bioshock Infinite, if I'm interpreting an acronym right, converted to TS3 by Veritas and then to TS2 by SamanthaBlack. (Warning: I believe they are fairly high-poly, and there are 12 of them in the front of the lot, so if your game goes all laggy, change 'em out for something else.)
  • Flat Rock and Pebbles plus their master by Nengi65
  • White Deck Stair Recolor by Patty3428
  • Step-Over White Lattice Fence by Windkeeper
  • White Lattice Wall by Patul
  • White Limber Timber Deck Flooring by Reyn
  • Li'l Magnolia Tree: Lost by Maxis, found by Numenor
  • Archless La Fenetre Shuttered Window and Colonial Double Arch by Leefish
  • Porch lights (plus its master)and K&B Bathroom Bliss completer wallby HugeLunatic.
  • Prima Columns, plus its master window file, by Shakeshaft
  • White Fence by Neveah223
  • Roof Recolor in CuriousB's Ocean color by ZeroDark
  • MM Plate Glass Door by Moune
  • Two-tile Independent Expressions Privacy Window by MaryLou
  • Brick Rolled Wall in Grenade by CrabOfDoom

Anything else on the lot that wasn't made Maxis was made by me, which is pretty much all the walls/floors except those noted above and two that are Maxis. I think it's 9 walls/floors, total.
