21 First Lines

Pinched from a bunch of people like tardisjournal, the-silver-sun, dieastra and analineblue

I took a look at my Torchwood folder of fics and kind of hit shuffle and these are what came up. I didn't realise until I looked in the folder and saw how much I have wrote in the past 11 months. Much more prolific than the two years of my Stargate: Atlantis fics.

This might be a trip down memory lane or a chance to see something you might have missed...or with the two WIP that came up something to look forward to. Now onto the lines...

21 First Lines

1. Jack looked at the paper in front of him: His name is Alonso. (WIP)

2. I, Ianto David Jones, take you Lucinda Judith Harkins, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

3. Ianto quietly knocked on Jack's office door and waited until he was granted admittance.

4. Ianto tried to send Gwen home to be with her family against her protests that he needed help getting the hub back in order.

5. When two immortals exchange vows and make the promise 'till death do us part', it takes on a meaning never quite explored before.

6. "What the hell were you thinking?" Rhiannon pulled pulled her brother by his ear out of the police station.

7. Two months passed since Ianto Jones returned to Torchwood Three after his four week suspension and a week since the team almost became victims of the canabalstic village and the tension was thick enough to taste.

8. Ianto woke to every inch of his body screaming in agony.

9. Gwen sat in her car in front of her place for several minutes absorbing the bombshell Ianto had dropped on her. (WIP)

10. The sound of the heart monitor alarm woke Jack out of the deep sleep he was in.

11. Temporarily blinded by a piece of alien tech that had fallen through the rift, Ianto sat on the edge of his bed swaying as he tried to hear the sounds from street below.

12. The slippers made a boing sound with every step and thus made Ianto wince with each step he took.

13. It had been five weeks since the accident that changed Jack's existence as he knew it.

14. Ianto shot daggers with his eyes at Gwen from across the table, imagining a cartoon anvil falling from the sky and hitting her head followed by the stars that circled the victim's head.

15. As far as first dates go, first official dates anyways, tonight would rank high among the worst ever in recorded history.

16. "Ianto, what the hell does this mean?" Jack held up the strange note, looking at his lover like something had finally snapped inside him.

17. Ianto had avoided Jack all day, which was no easy feat considering the immortal man’s penchant for watching his sexy Welshman on the CCTV during the day.

18. It was their last day in London after three days of what Jack called living hell.

19. "It's okay. It happens sometimes," Ianto tried to say as diplomatically as possible, flopping back onto the bed.

20. "How do we solve the Ianto problem?" Gwen asked Owen in hushed tones, not wanting to disturb said man who was doing his cleaning thing several feet away.

21. The first time Jack let Ianto drive, the Welshman ended up with twenty stitches on upper part of his inner thigh and another twenty on his buttocks.
