Fantastic 4 DVDs arrived. Both the two disc editions. We watched the extended cut of the first film, and right now, we're watching through the documentary stuff on the second disc about the comics origins. Lots of Stan Lee and other comics people from the fifty years of history. Finding it very interesting despite having not read any Fantastic 4.

Finished Brother2's balaclava. I'm knitting another market bag.

Buoyed by my success at making banana and pecan loaf in my dodgy oven, I think I'm going to try making
parkin in the same way - cooking in a loaf tin for 3/4 hour, then flipping the tin upside down onto a tray to cook the rest of the way so that the bottom gets done. (Right now, I am working with only a grill element, so the only heat is coming from above. All right when you're making biscuits, not really great for anything any bigger.) The banana loaf was done all the way through, so that bodes well for other recipes with similar baking times/temperatures.
Anyway, I might make that today, or not. I'm thinking pizzas for dinner, though.

Got a bunch of pruning done yesterday, which means I've cut back maybe a quarter of the climbing rose, and my hands look like I've been in a fight with a mosquito and a cat and lost. If the weather holds, I'll do more in the next few days.

I went to the library, returned Miss Dimple Rallies To The Cause and renewed Miss Match - and then checked, and they had the first books for both series in. So I'm reading Miss Fortune first, and Miss Match can wait.
