Lots of it!
Firstly, how about a couple of completed, selfish little projects?
Tea Mitten. Pattern so easy, and so wonderfully form fitting. I did only about a centimetre of the top rib, because my pot is squatter than a true Betty.
I'm particularly in love with the thumb gusset for the spout. Isn't that gorgeous?
Secondly, a project that will eventually go to
mrsalemp, but I'm sure she doesn't mind me using it for now. It is keeping my coffee snug, after all.
Though it's a little lost in the busy flecks of the two colours of yarn I used, it's a mini cable twist there in the middle.
I had an indirect hand in the creation of this pattern. I pointed
aunty_marion toward the
directions for this cable twist, which was in a baby jacket I was making. Not long after, she made her
coffee pot cosy with the twist. Such a nifty, clever, and simple stitch to learn.
Aaand, I probably should have had more buttons, like Marion did with hers, but I thought three would be enough, and I can't get more, because I got those three from my Mum's button jar. Drat.
Now, my current work in progress, a
crochet shawl/blanket thing for myself in a variegated purple yarn (Moda Vera Marvel printed 8ply). This picture doesn't really capture the colour truly at all, but I'll take a better one another time when I'm further along.
This was mainly just a shot taken to show off how much I've done in a week. Yes, I do have crocheter's aching joints in my fingers, thanks for asking.
And finally, YARN PORN. Namely, sock yarn, Moda Vera Noir. Bought because I am determined to try making my own socks, and, hell, it was marked down from $15 to $4.
Still eyeing up potential projects.
Skew is a definite. I have a bunch of contenders for the other three balls lined up on my Ravelry queue. It's exciting!
