The animated Disney classic.
the story begins with dalmatian Pongo and his pet human Roger living in their bachelor flat in London. Pongo is on the look out for a mate for Roger and one days sees Perdita walking her pet human, Anita. It is love at first sight and Roger and Anita are soon married. Pongo and Perdita are soon blessed with a litter of 15 puppies. Unfortunately, Cruella De Vil, an old friend of Anita's, wants the puppies to make a coat and will do anything to get them even dognapping. When the puppies are taken by Cruella's minions, Pongo and Perdita must find their puppies before it is too late.
There's nothing better than a good Disney movie, and this is one of my favourites. Cruella De Vil is a truly horrid villain. She plans to skin some adorable puppies to make a coat for crying out loud! She deserved a more fitting end than just getting her car smashed up.
The first meeting between Roger and Anita is quite cute. Pongo is determined to find his human a mate and ends up tangling the pair together with his lead. Anita isn't all that impressed, but soon comes to laugh about it when she sees what a state Roger is in.
The puppies are just so damn adorable. If you don't get a lump in your throat when it seems that the smallest puppy of the litter hasn't made it, then you're dead inside. Luckily, Roger manages to save the poor mite and he is given the appropriate name of Lucky. I'm not afraid to say that I may gotten a little teary-eyed during that scene.
Look out for a rather neat cameo from Lady and the tramp too.
The only thing that I found disappointing were the songs. They were pretty forgettable.
Another bona fide Disney classic. Well worth a watch. Four and a half pointy hats.
Next time: Orca the Killer Whale. It's Jaws with a killer whale.
