My goal for the next few weeks is to try to finish up some of the quilts I have lying around, half finished.  (You'll see why in mid August.)  I started quilting one of them today, and enjoyed getting into the rhythm of it.  Plus, it's nice to be productive without having to be particularly creative.

Ok, I'm not up to TONS yet, but I've been sock-knitting up a storm.  Don't tell the family, but that's what every one is getting for Christmas from me this year.

I finished my first toe up sock, after knitting about 5 pairs top down. I definitely prefer the top down method, primarily because it doesn't involve any increases. Where the toe up method casts on just a few stitches, you're constantly doing increases. Top down casts on a bunch, but has lots of decreases, especially slip slip knits, which I ( Read more... )
