The kids and I got back today from a 4 day trip up to see my mom. It was a nice trip, though not quite as much relaxation time for me as I'd been hoping. But, I did get to see two movies ("The Importance of Being Earnest" and "Enigma") both of which I really enjoyed. I've also decided that if either Colin Firth or Dougray Scott want to be my boyfriend, that would be just fine with me.
I took the car into the VW dealer up there for a 30K servicing. Now, VW says that 30K is a minor servicing, but the dealer up there seemed to think it was a major servicing, so charged me about $200 more for the service than I was expecting. After being very mad, I was able to approach him calmly, and get him to refund $150. That's a good thing the way finances are these days.
I also had a very bad manicure, and ate way too much pizza.
