We spent yesterday with part of my dad's side of the family. It was wonderful to see Nana and Karen and her kids. Also, Dad, my little brother (12), and my sister and her daughter. We grilled burgers, then went to the community pool, and hung out. Jake loved being at the pool (and man, did it wear him out) - especially because of the wading pool, which was just right for him. We got lots of great pictures, and had a wonderful time catching up and just "being family."
Reil and I weighed in yesterday, too. I'm down 2 pounds, and he's down 7! woo hoo! I knew that it would be helpful to have Reil doing weight watchers with me, but I didn't think it would be THIS helpful. He was very supportive before, but now we can each support the other. AND, Reil is really looking great. I'm so proud of him.
Yesterday, four of my ebay auctions finished. Two items didn't sell, though I wasn't all that surprised about it. I was, however, surprised by the other two auctions. A lot of 3 baby gap items (brand new) went for only $1.99, but four embroidery patterns that I paid a total of $2.00 for sold for $23! wowza.
Today has been a "get things done" day. I've been working on the laundry, packing for a trip to my mom's tomorrow, etc. Got the car cleaned out, too.
I finished (3) Clive Cussler's "Valhalla Rising" last night. Fun, Dirk Pitt novel, but a little disconcerting, especially as part of the plot included a gas tanker that was supposed to ram into NYC (at the WTC) and blow up. He obviously wrote this before 9/11.
