Wii + Snow = Sore

Dec 27, 2009 21:11

I'm so sore today. Mom and I bowled yesterday, and while I didn't stomp the ground with the same strength she did--my mother does not know how to step lightly--my right thigh is having issues. After bowling, dad and I went out and shoveled, and while I didn't really do that much, it was enough. Of course, that didn't stop me from trying tennis or baseball. :) Apparently mom has never actually played tennis, because she could not get how to serve at all and looked like she was pitching. It was weird. So when I suggested baseball, she was okay with it, but the "Would you like to take a break?" screen popped up and she took me up on the offer and spent twenty minutes eating pie and Reddi-Wip. I ended up playing both players in baseball and sucked for two innings, then hit my stride during the third inning. Hello, home run queen. I even had a grand slam...for mom's team...but the final score was 7-6 my team. Aside from that and laundry, I didn't do much. Dad and I decided to hold off on grocery shopping until tomorrow, but since he had to run out for gas for the snowblower, he decided to run to Jewel for milk, bread, and sugar, which he didn't feel could wait. Whatever. It was nice to have another lazy day.

By the way: We did end up with about a foot of snow. Thankfully, the snow that fell earlier today was negligible.
