It's too early for this, especially since I was out for hours at the party yesterday.
When I got home last night--not that late, maybe 10:30--mom's computer appeared to spontaneously restart itself. For whatever reason, that's what the computers do on occasion, so I didn't think much of it. Then, this morning, mom goes to get on it and it's like it went DOS--the screen was black and it had some sort of short code at the top. She restarted it, but it freaked out. When it came to the point where the desktop should have loaded, the background and icons appeared, but then it would go back to the blue screen just before it, reload the background and icons, then repeat. Weird. My mother immediately blamed my dad, as he's been using her computer as of late, but not for the past few days. The power supply on his laptop had died and he finally replaced it, so dad has been on his own computer for much of the week. What, did he retroactively do something? He's now playing around with it. The laptop is about ten years old, and my mother never shuts it off, so, hmm, do you think it's about time for something to go wrong with it?
