It's amazing what can jog the memory
I'm in the middle of typing up a project--don't worry, all I have to do is proofread it and then print it out at school--and I have the little TV on so I can watch the news. The weather was just on and I saw the record high for this date was 66F back in 2000. I suddenly had a flashback to what was then my final year in school, this unusually warm day, and I was working at the music store. Cute Boy Nick came in and started looking around at music and asked me if he'd missed anything in music history. Uh, dude, we had a test, which he totally blew off...yet he came to choir, right after music history, in the very same room with the very same instructor. Nice. You putz. I haven't thought of that date in a while, but it amused me. It was a Monday as well, I believe.
It was nice to have a positive memory of this date, or semi-positive, at least, because this was the five-year anniversary of something far less pleasant, and it was nice to not be reminded of that for much of the day.
