yeah i got one when i was teaching in south bend. My school was in Brandywine, MI (only like 30 min away) but it was far enough that we had a snow day...WHICH SUCKED SO MUCH, the school was on the every other day block schedule...so it was A B A B A week and we had like a Tuesday snow day so it was A ns A B A really messes up sequencing and staying on track if you have the same geometry class one on day A and one on day B...we were sooo far ahead. I bout cried. It worked out somehow though.

AND.... Thursday was a snow day but wasn't supposed to be. The principal made an anouncement that Thurs was a late start day (to give everyone time to come in safe and sound and start school an hour late...we have latestart every Wed for either meetings or clubs, so its no biggied everyone knows what to expect peroid wise) So no phone call and I haul my cookies to school a little early too just in case trafic is bad at 7:30 am etc. Once at school we find out somehow Channel 7 (abc) has scrolled SFDSHS in Chicago....well only maybe 80 of our 350 showed up to school....at 9:05 (ten min after school was supposed to start) they canceled school and sent the 80 kids home. I stayed till 11:30 to lesson plan for next week and drove to my parents house b/c it was mikes 21st!!! and because i took friday off...its the day before the wedding i'm standing up to...i just wanted it off ot not be stressed.
