Panera-palooza and Cadbury craziness
We had a visitor yesterday who brought breakfast in the form of Panera bagels. Since I'm never hungry when I first get to work--see, I do this thing where I eat breakfast at home--I didn't get a bagel before they were all snatched up. Never fear--Panera itself delivered a goody basket later in the day. No, seriously. When we have guests we often get breakfast or lunch from there, so they were thanking us for being such good customers. Sweet. Literally. And, this time, I managed to snag parts of three different items. Hooray for sharing with people.
Then, today, I walk in and discover two Cadbury bars on my desk. Oh? What's this for? I heard rumblings that they came from a certain coworker whose wife is due literally any second, so when he walked past my desk I asked if they were sort of preemptive cigars. Nope; his wife had bought them to make her own candy for Christmas and way overestimated. I think everyone got two candy bars each and he still had some left in the car. Whoa. Oh, c'mon, what kind of a dad are you that you don't want to give your two already-birthed children enough sugar to power Las Vegas? You're no fun.
There is still The Sick floating around the office. That and the unusual weather, which made the office rather stuffy, made me glad we propped open the front door for a while. Tomorrow, though, I think we're back to winter, or at least fall.
