I don't know why, but this is a quote my mother and I have latched on to. I've always loved this movie, it's one of my favorites, but it's such an unusual quote. I mean, heck, I would've thought "Kmart sucks" would have been my quote, considering this came out when I was a kid. But no. I think part of this quote's longevity is due to how strange my mother and I are, so when we're particularly peculiar, that's when we say it. Plus, part of me wonders if I'm not just a little bit autistic. I have a good ear for music, I'm so anal-retentive about certain things, I have my Rain Man-esque thing I can do with dates, and I lack decent social skills. Plus, I've taken meticulous notes on things in the last few years, which also felt very Rain Man-esque to me. Or perhaps I've just taken this movie to heart.
