12th Anniversary
It was actually yesterday, but it's my LJ anniversary!
This is my 5,043rd post--yes, I've broken 5K. Even my comments received have broken 5K. Luckily both have happened fairly recently so that I can still find them. ;) I'm currently averaging 420.25 posts per year, or just over 35 posts per month. You could also think of it as 1.15 posts per day. No, I'm not as prolific as I once was, but it's not for lack of ideas. I have a couple of things I've been looking to post but haven't yet had a chance. Actually, add a couple more--I forgot about the two frivolous-type posts I've thought about making. I just have to keep writing, in the middle of everything else I'm doing. For example, I've just rewritten a piece for band (yay Finale!); it's for the concert I'll play piccolo on in a few weeks, and the part I was given was the Db piccolo (ugh), and yet the flute part isn't even a real flute part, it's an oboe part with flute added as an afterthought. That means it's down an octave from what the flutes should be playing, and there are enough changes between it and the piccolo part that I went, I have the ability, I'll just rewrite it. So I did. I'm slipping a copy into the concert envelope and I'll see if the librarian notices. It does have my name on it as the arranger. So, yeah, that's me and my never-ending projects; something always comes up. At least I'm able to write about it all here.
