Easter 2016

As Easters go, this one wasn't so bad. Thanksgiving and Christmas definitely were worse in this most recent cycle of holidays. That's not to say it was *great*, but it beats Easter 2011, which basically was when all of my grandfather's woes started. Hard to believe it was nearly 5 years ago already. Have you seen the Cuties commercial with the play on the Godfather? Creepy.

Also, I nearly had that moment at work. The owner's mom brought in what was clearly leftover lamb cake, as (to me) there was clearly a body part in the container, which was see-through but covered in foil for the most part. I couldn't tell what part it was, worried it was the head, then wondered what if anything was meant by that. When I called to let the workers in the other building know it was there, I was informed by the owner's nephew that it was in fact the *butt* of the cake that nobody wanted to eat at their Easter dinner. ...Then I was left trying to figure out what *that* meant.

Needless to say, I avoided the cake.

Haven't seen the commercial. Tried looking for it on YouTube, without initial success.

Cranberry sauce -- jellied, whole berry, or one of each?

Yes.

It's funny, because for years we strictly had the jellied stuff, but when I pulled out the bowl for dinner today, nearly all the whole berry sauce was gone and the jellied sauce was nearly all there. Interesting.
