(no subject)
we went to this place called the beer garden yesterday.... had to pay 10 bucks to get in because there was some czech(sp?) band playing and there were some dancers... it was........... entertaining? well we had fun anyway, got drunk and played poker... well, i didn't play, i just dealt the cards because the only card games i know how to play are go fish and solitare...
i wish it would hurry up and get cool around here... i was on my way to new york thinking "hey this is nice, we're going all the way to the northern end of the friggin country, no more humidity, no more hot as balls weather, no more running from fucking hurricanes, yay, life is peachy".... i get up here and BAM!!!! i get smacked in the face with nothing but heat and sun, and you would think it would be better up here than it is in new orleans because it's nowhere near as humid, well it's actually worse, because you have to like WALK everywhere, walk to the subway, walk 5 blocks this way, catch another subway, and carry everything you bought along the way all the way back home... GOD!!! i've never sweat so much in all my life... but i'm glad we're here... that's the most important thing... we're here, we're safe, i'm getting to spend some time with my cousin for the first time in years, lydia's getting to bond with her and my aunt and uncle... the only thing is i wish my mom was here... i wish my mom and my dad and, well the whole damn family was here, i really hate it that lydia has to be away from them all even for a day... and we're going to be here til the middle of november...
anyway, my mom started work today in alabama :) and my dad got there yesterday at around noon, that was the first time they saw each other in almost a month... i called my mom the night before he got there and she was getting all pretty, dying her hair and getting her nails done... i don't think they've ever been away from each other for that long since they met... i wish i could've been there when she saw him... i can't even imagine what she's going to do when she see's the baby for the first time in like three months when we get there...
well i'm going smoke...
