I spent Saturday at the zoo with several friends and five girls from A's dorm. The dormmates are all from Seoul, Korea, and speak English pretty well, but find the grammar and idioms here confusing. (I told them even English-speakers don't get English grammar!)

The squirrels have their thick winter coats. The outdoors are starting to look like an underdeveloped picture - still splashes of color, but muted, forgotten-looking, like the person who stumbles on stage at the wrong time, turns tail and runs.
