Bu-boom, bu-boom
Went to Scarborough hospital yesterday morning with mum after a rather sleepless night. Got there about 10 minutes before my appointment but went in pretty much straight away. I got weighed and then got taken through to another room to have an E.C.G thingy, then back to the waiting room where mum was waiting. A few minutes later we went into see the doctor and he was asking questions about Lee and family history and stuff. He then checked my blood pressure and checked my heartbeat. He then said that my ECG and other tests had come back fine but he wanted to run a couple of more tests to be completely sure. So I went to have an ultrasound thingy which was rather interesting. My heart is so ugly on the screen!! I just watched it pump away on the computer while the lady took images. The lady then told me that they didnt have any 24hour ECG things left and that I had to come back the next day to get one fitted.
Mum and I then went to have something to eat in the canteen and then catch the bus again back to town. We had a look in a shop or two before catching the train back to Bridlington. Went to Tesco's. Walked home and I climbed into bed cos I was knackered! I had about an hour and half sleep before I had to get up and get ready for work.
So this morning was like de ja vue - back on the the 9am train to Scarborough, back on the bus to the hospital, walked through the hospital to find the department we needed to be in. Had the ECG fitted then went to catch the bus into town. I have to do the same again on monday morning to take the ECG monitor back.
My friend Shell text me to say that she is now engaged! Bless. Her and Dave have been together for 3 years today and she soooo wanted him to propose. So I went to get them a congratulations card, along with a birthday card for my friend Ria, a christening card and present (Me to You snowglobe and a cute little cardigan) and some wrapping paper. Mum also bought a nice little gift set for her friends birthday who's party were going to next saturday, so that should be good. After, we had a look in some other shops and mum bought me a new cute little night dress from Per Una and herself a top from Next. We then grabbed a quick cuppa and a sandwich before catching the train again. Went to Tesco's, caught a bus home.
This ECG thing is so annoying. I have to keep messing with the wires so they dont pull and its a pain having to go to the loo cos I have to untangle all me wires and take the monitor out my pocket.
Got macaroni cheese for tea. Yum! Going to put in in the oven at about 4 so I can have it and let it digest before going out to work at 5.20. Im working til 11.30 tonight :-/ I'm not impressed. Its so dumb.
So in the meantime, me and mother are going to have a cuppa and Im going to check my other accounts online.
