Cinchona and Clove

It's a new year! Finally.

I hope everyone had a good 2006, and better yet, hopefully everyone will have a good 2007.

New Year's wasn't that bad this year. Matt ended up coming down anyways, and we went to the Uhlman's house for New Year's. It wasn't that bad. The night basically consisted of supper, talking, playing two games, yelling and cheering at twelve, and singing and playing guitar after the new year came. The chowder was the scariest thing I've ever encountered. You see, they forgot to skin the shrimp (I don't like shrimp anyways.), so, it was hard and you had to remove the skin before consuming it. It was also somewhat of a sweet chowder, and it was extremely thick and tasted a little strange. Half the time I didn't know what I was putting into my mouth.

We sat and ate and half the guests were in the living room (Including me.) watching "Mars Attacks". I've never seen the whole movie. Alyshia Rice loves it. Then, we ended up playing games. The first one was called "Battle of the Sexes". It was a weird game where the girls had to answer questions about the guys, and the guys had to answer questions about the girls. It was a little odd. Then, we played Taboo. I hate Taboo. I helped the guys out, and the girls got mad at me. It was funny.

Then, twelve came around, I got a terrible headache, and everyone decided to scream in my ears. Of course, my headache didn't go away, because then we all ran outside in the freezing cold with little noise-makers and sparklers, and yelled and screamed for about ten minutes straight. It didn't make me feel any better.

We all went back inside, and they tried to convince Matt to play some guitar, even though he refused, and finally played some nice Christian songs. It was a little awkward, to say the least, and I still don't know exactly how Matt feels about it. I am hoping he didn't have that bad of a time.

He stayed the night, and that was a little weird to think about, but it wasn't after all. This morning, we didn't really do much. Mostly, we played a few card games, and then my Godparents came down to visit. Then, we retreated to the computer and messed around for a few hours until supper. He just left and got a drive home with my Godparents about a half an hour ago. And, unfortunately, I miss him already.

So, today has gone by faster than I thought it would, and reluctantly, I wanted it to go slower. And, of course, school is fast approaching, and I really don't want to go back, but do I have a choice? No, I don't. So, I have to suck it up. Also, I have to figure out my work schedule, because I don't know the next time I work. And I need to find out soon, because if I don't, then I am screwed. That's bothering me a lot. I can't find out tonight because they're closed, so I have to wait until tomorrow.

So, I am sitting here waiting for something good to happen. Just waiting...
