Here are my hoes, gimme money!

Well I may not have any Nitzer Ebb stories to tell, but I did see something interesting the other day on TV (right about now Frankie must be cradling his head in his hands and shaking it; sorry man, it can't be front page material all the time).

So there's this show on CBC called The Dragon's Den and it's a panel of financial and business gurus who watch the sales pitch of would-be entrepreneurs and decide if they want to invest in these fledgling businesses. Most have horrible ideas and haven't got the foggiest idea of what a professional sales pitch is or what is a bankable idea for that matter. If you want to see the result of what happens when people DON'T tell their loved one their ideas suck ass, watch this.

So these two young guys, late 20's I should think, come on in front of the panel with two babes in tube dresses (you KNOW the kind, the ones that leave NOTHING to the imagination... Once upon a time only seen on "exotic" dancers, but that can now be seen on every 21 year-old girl in a dance club... ya those) carrying two displays.

Right away I'm thinking to myself, ok these two clowns (the guys, not the girls) are of a generation and upbringing where they don't even realize this is unprofessional behavior and not suitable to discuss a business partnership. At least not in the REAL financial world. Maybe in the "hood" it is, maybe there, on the wrong side of the proverbial track, people are actually impressed by two 20 year-olds in skin-tight stretch material showing off the presentation like girls at a car show, but here, in the real world, where people do have an education and some measure of decorum, this only serves to prove how big of a sleazeball these bozos are.

This brings me to my point; we have finally arrived. Though it may only be the very beginning, we have now arrived at the point where the mass-dumbification (if that is even a word?) of the world has gotten so pervasive that people don't even recognize when they are making a BIG mistake. The world is not a hip-hop music video and not everybody responds to your hoes flashing their asses. But these guys clearly grew up in this world and are so full of themselves and so fucking clueless that they can't see it. It used to be that you only came across folks like this standing around a corner in a fur coat and wide-brimmed hat... and it didn't bother anyone because the rest of the world was different and still upheld certain values, like education and class (not to mention respect of women), but not anymore folks. Nope. We are now officially ALL standing on that corner! Where to next? I don't know, but I guarantee you it's not going to be pretty...
