When the network is running fine, it is a wonderful thing.

When the computer dude swaps out the old server for a new one and e-mail, program software, and java script go down, it is like a visitation from satan.

Computer Dude's new nickname is Computermort.

My program has been working to get into the business of electronics recycling. We applied for a grant with the state and we were awarded about $75,000 to buy equipment. The equipment is now in place and we have been training program participants on how to take apart and sort the innards of CPUs ( Read more... )

The class really went well last night. My biggest concern that I'd get a bunch of eighteen year olds who would sign up to look for thrills or to giggle and scream a lot. I continue to wade through the disaster area that is my program after huge budget cut knocked 25% out of the agency. Including 7 1/2 staff in my program. There are 16 program participants who don't have jobs in the community anymore. Plus, there are 3 program participants who were terminated from this program because they weren't eligible for ( Read more... )

Friday was the last day for three of my staff and the last work day for 16 of the people in my program. Six of them aren't eligible for any other services we offer and so three of them have been discharged from the program.
