As the international release date is getting closer (March 31), Paramount Pictures began streaming a new trailer for its upcoming live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell on Wednesday (March 15). The 1:32 minute trailer shows a bit more scenes to tease the audience.

We get to see the Public Security Section 9 members in action, as well as the chief, Aramaki (played by Beat Takeshi).

Rupert Sanders and Scarlett Johansson talked about the movie. Johansson praised Beat Takeshi for giving the necessary weight to the character (Aramaki) while Sanders said that Aramaki is a patriot. At the end of the trailer Johansson hopes that the audience would share the same passion she has for the unruly bunch.

Another trailer from the Japanese official site:

While we won't get anything from the official western site, not even a nice poster, just some arts, the Japanese official site offers more.

I think I'm gonna give this movie a try. Hopefully Hollywood doesn't disappoint me further as they don't give a proper name to Johansson's role. They just call her "Major". Batou's and Aramaki's name are still used but no Kusanagi Motoko? WTF.

Well, I've got two more weeks to organize my feelings before going to the cinema to watch this. I seriously hope that this movie won't let me down.
